Leveraging its high value-added engineering solutions and strategic subsystem production, the company sustained its growth momentum despite ongoing fluctuations in global supply chains. Altınay Defense increased its consolidated revenue by 36% year-on-year, reaching TRY 3.139 billion. Gross profit amounted to TRY 993.4 million, while net profit stood at TRY 163.4 million.
“2025 Was a Strategic Turning Point”
Commenting on the results, CEO Z. Burak Mercan stated that 2025 represented not only a year of financial growth but also a strategic milestone in terms of engineering capability. “2025 marked a strategic turning point for Altınay Defense Technologies, where our engineering strength was validated on a global scale. The 36% increase in our consolidated revenue and our profitability performance demonstrate the successful combination of our indigenous technology development capabilities with financial discipline. Today, every subsystem we produce across land, air, and naval platforms contributes to Türkiye’s technological independence. At the same time, through our global partnerships, we generate high value-added export capabilities for our national economy. With a total backlog of USD 182 million, we are progressing steadily on our sustainable growth journey. Our goal is to combine our engineering intelligence with efficiency-driven operations and reach the top tier of the global defense industry.”
Focus on Subsystems and Robotics
Mercan underlined that the company has been transforming its engineering know-how since 2014 into subsystem-level innovations across multiple domains. He stated that Altınay continues to manage long product life cycles and high-technology investments while maintaining financial sustainability. Mercan said: “Given the dynamics of the sector, we manage long product life cycles and high-technology investments while sustaining our financial strength through innovation. With the objective of maximizing the operational capability of our armed forces, we continue our critical subsystem deliveries in line with our 2027 projections. In particular, within our six-stage Sludge Cleaning Robot project, representing a new chapter in robotics, we have successfully completed the prototype and integration phases. With system tests to be finalized in 2026, we aim to redefine global operational efficiency standards in this field through indigenous engineering.”
Altınay Defense Technologies also reported progress in several key programs. The company has transitioned from design to production for the pneumatic bomb rack system for the National Combat Aircraft KAAN. Mercan also added that they have completed the Iron Bird test infrastructure project, one of the most complex test environments in aviation, and brought it to the acceptance phase.
He also underlined that the factory acceptance processes for the Helicopter Capture and Transfer System (Birdtrap) and JP-5 Fuel Transfer Systems developed for MİLGEM Frigates have been successfully completed. With shipboard integrations planned for 2026, these systems will be deployed at full capacity, contributing strategic outputs that will elevate the technological independence of Turkish naval power to the highest level.
“We Address Sustainability as an Integrated Strategic Structure”
Altınay Defense Technologies has established a Sustainability Committee as part of its long-term corporate framework. Its roadmap is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on energy efficiency, waste management, and low-carbon technologies through the integration of circular economy principles into production processes.
Mercan stated that sustainability is addressed not only in environmental terms but also within a broader framework encompassing technology security, information security, and the protection of indigenous production capabilities. CEO Z. Burak Mercan stated: “We address sustainability not only as an environmental responsibility but as an integrated strategic framework encompassing technology security, information security, and the protection of indigenous production capabilities. Safeguarding information security and R&D output constitutes one of the cornerstones of our sustainability strategy. We remain firmly committed to implementing our pledge to leave a more livable world and a stronger defense infrastructure for future generations, in line with the Sustainability Principles Compliance Framework of the Capital Markets Board.”
