Aselsan: Awarded ‘Innovation Leader’ in Defence Industry

Within the scope of the third annual “Turkey Innovation Week” organized by the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM), a total of 13 awards were given in fields such as R&D, Design, Brand and Entrepreneur Leaders. 

Aselsan accomplishes 4% of the total R&D, 9% of industry R&D and 39% of defence industry R&D in Turkey. As the biggest base of R&D, Aselsan has the position transforming R&D into an innovation based product that leads the technology in our country. Investing in highly qualified human resources and R&D for the level reached, Aselsan additionally acts as a training institution particularly for OSTİM as well as many surrounding companies.

With the depth it reached in technology and focusing on the imported products and systems, Aselsan utilizes technology produced in military areas for use in civilian areas, such as telecommunication (4G), rail systems and medical.
