ASELSAN has been established in 1975 to meet the urging demands of Turkish Armed Forces.

Over 30 years, ASELSAN has become a reliable partner and system solution provider for military and professional applications within the fields of military / professional communications, electronic warfare, defence and weapon systems, fire support and automation systems, command-control & intelligence systems, electro optic systems, avionic systems, navigation and guidance.

ASELSAN has obtained its renowned name and reputation as a result of the successful activities carried out over the years and undertaken responsibilities in the multinational projects.

Focused on the Gulf Region and the market demands prioritizing United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt and Bahrain requirements, ASELSAN has acted as a customized solution provider mainly in the fields of Defence and Weapon Systems, Tactical Communication Systems, Electro- Optic Systems and Reconnaissance & Surveillance Solutions under the frame of C4I solutions in the related countries. In this respect; ASELSAN Low Level Pedestal Mounted Air Defence Systems (PMAD) which are one of the outstanding outcomes of ASELSAN’s technological know-how and experience in the defence electronics, have been presented to the Royal Jordanian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Egypt.

PMADS is a fully automated Low Level Air Defence System that provides enhancement on missile usage compared to Man-portable air defence system configuration. The PMADS has unique features as improved reaction time, high fire power, high hit probability, shoot-on-the move capability and target detection, tracking and firing capability in day, night and adverse weather conditions.

ASELSAN Fire Support Command Control and Communication System (TAIKS) has been presented to the United Arab Emirates-Land Forces. TAIKS is a unique system solution of the tactical command, control and communications requirements of fire support command/coordination centers, ranging from the corps level to the lowermost firing batteries/platoons levels.

TAIKS automates fire support command, control and communications functions of the battlefield and it provides full interoperability with other battlefield functional areas. On the other hand, information regarding the Command and Tactical Area Communications System (TASMUS) has been provided to the U.A.E. Armed Forces HQ Signal Corps. The other potential projects followed up in the region are Battlefield Management System within the concept of C4I for Qatar Land Forces Command and Reconnaissance and Surveillance Vehicle for Qatar National Security Shield Project.

ASELSAN Battlefield Management System

ASELSAN Battlefield Management System (BMS) is a digital battle command information system that provides tactical combat commanders, leaders and soldiers integrated on-themove, real-time/near-real-time battle command information and situational awareness from headquarters down to the soldier/platform level across all battlefield functional areas.

BMS provides all leaders at land forces command and below levels with a seamless battle command capability and also provides horizontal and vertical integration of the information generating and processing capabilities of individual platforms. ASELSAN BMS is the most recent solution of its type and represents the hot-end of battle command control systems in the world. ASELSAN Battlefield Management System solution is based on the field proven C4I equipment and expertise of ASELSAN, effectively performing the functions of battlefield command and control. ASELSAN Reconnaissance and Surveillance Vehicle is developed for detection of targets and transmission of collected data to command-control echelons, under hard battlefield conditions. The vehicle operates in day/night and under harsh environmental conditions. The Electro-Optic Sensor System and ASELSAN Surveillance Radar operate independently and complement each other.

Furthermore, ASELSAN’s electro-optic systems are also found very competitive in the international defence arena. In this respect, ASELSAN Thermal Weapon Sight system has been demonstrated to the National Guard of Bahrain.
