Aselsan Signature on Sea Hawks

ASELSAN, a leading defence company in Turkish Defence Industry will manufacture critical task and navigation equipments of seventeen Sea Hawk Helicopters to be provided from SIKORSKY for Turkish Naval Forces.

ASELSAN, offering more than 110 products and achieving an annual endorsement of nearly 500 million USD, employing approximately 3000 people with a 31 year of technological expertise, and with a high level of design and manufacture capability of defence instruments, has achieved another great success as being the biggest defence company of Turkey.

Aselsan’s export to the USA In a written statement from ASELSAN, it was indicated that, an agreement has been enacted within the framework of the 45.6 million USD.

Within the scope of this agreement, ASELSAN manufactures and then exports critical task and navigation equipments to the USA which are:

Airborne Thermal Sight System, Inertial Navigation System, Cockpit and Flight Management System, and Airborne Radio System that are used in the Sea Hawks Helicopters.

ASELSAN will manufacture the following systems for Sea Hawk Helicopters:

• GPS integrated Inertial Navigation System which provides critical air navigation capability in Helicopters.

• Airborne Thermal Imaging Camera which can be used in every kind of weather condition, for imaging and navigation, target identification and detection, target laser range finding, directing laser guided missiles to the target.

• Navigation and Flight Management Systems and Main Cockpit Multifunctional Display of the helicopters in Digital Cockpit Configuration.

• A Safe Radio system used for communication of helicopters.

The cooperation between ASELSAN and SIKORSKY (one of the most important military helicopter manufacturer), beginning with the 1st. Sea Hawk and Black Hawk Programs, has further developed by signing the second agreement concerning the 2nd. Sea Hawk Program.
