Award to Young Engineers from Havelsan
The evaluation and awarding ceremony of the “Starred Projects Competition 2015” organized by Yıldız Technical University, IEEE Community where the main sponsor was Havelsan, was realized at the Davut paşa campus of the university.
262 projects from 73 different universities in 4 different categories participated in the contest. At the end of the event where the introductory presentations of the 24 projects in the final the Evaluations Board elected the first three projects from each field.
Savaş Koltuk, Emre Çağ and Burak Zeyrek from the Fırat University Mechatronics Engineering Department were elected to be the first with the “Poultry Farming and Health Project” in the contest where the main sponsor Havelsan gave an award to the first winner of the “Machinery, Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation” category.
Havelsan General Manager and CEO Sadık Yamaç said; “The enthusiasm of the young people in the production of technology is exciting us. There is a great need fort he cooperation of the students, tutors and the industry to be able to provide the technological independence.” in his speech at the ceremony.
At the contest in which Havelsan Technology and Innovation Manager Tolga Erol was also among the Evaluation Board members in which the evaluations were made using the “scoring system”, at the “Informatics, Electronics, Telecommunications and Software Applications” field “Biometric System Kinship Determination”; at the “Electricity, Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Efficiency and Quality” category, “Water Saving Device”; at the “Health, Food, Biotechnology, Chemistry and Materials Applications” category, “The Energy of Food” projects won the first place.
