Eurosatory; The World Biggest Exhibition About Land and Air-Land Defence
Eurosatory, a long-standing exhibition, definitely remains the world tradeshow reference in land and air-land defence.
Every 2 years, the entire Defence and Security industry and market meet during Eurosatory in Paris.
Great efforts have always been made to provide exhibitors with a significant number of high value-added visitors (53,480 in 2012 and 130 nationalities) and to offer them maximum resources and advantages to develop their business. This has always been our top concern. The exhibition’s quality is reflected in exhibitor loyalty, at 72%.
In 2012, Exhibitors number increased by 9.3%, 53 countries and International Organizations were represented. More than 50% of exhibiting companies chairman or CEOs attended the show. 450 new products were officially presented. All these data contributed to consolidate Eurosatory as the world leader.
With visitors from 130 different countries, 152 officials delegations from 87 countries, the presence of 684 journalists, 3 589 visitors from top management, the exhibition attracted a high-level worldwide audience.
Edition after edition, Eurosatory develops new concepts and opportunities, as much for exhibitors-seller as for visitors-buyers. As organizers, we also compare the various offers available in our business. Through our presence at over 35 regional trade fairs and major international exhibitions, we scrutinize technological and tactical developments, and exhibiting conditions. These surveys allow us to contact some sectors that are still under-represented or to target new industry areas. Global events and analyses reinforce our decision to maintain and develop the exhibition’s security section, which is today actually linked to the Defence domain. These permanent innovations, renewals and questioning enable us to remain leader in Defence and Security domains.
Markets and equipment offerings are therefore clearly identified. Eurosatory strives to present the entire international offering and the whole land Defence & Security industry and supply chain, from raw materials through to finished products.
In regard of the 2012 exhibition review and of the economic context, it has been decided to improve again the coming Eurosatory 2014 and to extend the exhibition surface.
Therefore, two new technology clusters are being created: ‘Civil Security and Emergency Response’ and ‘Critical Infrastructure and Sensitive Facilities Protection’, in addition to previous ones.
We are also continuing to strengthen the air-land component and stepping up efforts with respect to UAVs/UGVs and helicopters.
Moreover we are offering a “Discovery Village” for very small businesses participating in Eurosatory for the first time. Featuring 6m² fully-fitted stands, it is an opportunity to discover the exhibition’s assets at the lowest cost.
We hope to develop pavilions, those opened in 2012 (Pakistan, South Korea, Indonesia, and United Arab Emirates) and accommodate new ones.
In 2012, the Turkish group represented 16 companies. With our new policy, new clusters and the high level of our visitors we are likely to succeed in growing it.
The growing focus on Security also brings new visitors either from governments departments seeking to equip security and emergency forces, or from the private sector, scouting for solutions for people and assets security. Emerging markets are constantly developing and the exhibition adapts. Our event must indeed meet the needs of manufacturers, governments, institutions and private firms whatever are their requirements and ambitions in terms of equipment.
However, success does not hinge on quantity alone. We regard the quality of our exhibitors and visitors to be of vital importance for the status of the event.
We are the only exhibition in the domain to reach such a level and quantity of Official Delegations. In 2012, as evidenced in the diagram below, all continents were represented. Not only the western countries (57 ODs) but also emerging countries (Asia: 27 ODs – South America: 11 ODs) and developing countries (Africa: 15 ODs), to use conventional designations. Among them, countries with short but dedicated budgets.
These figures prove that Eurosatory is the place where all countries come to discover products – solutions for their needs. The exhibition will endeavour again to cover the full spectrum of Defence and Security equipment in all price groups, from new, complex and high-tech most advanced technology systems, to more affordable but tried-and-tested solutions that particular countries prefer.
Eurosatory brings together a vast Defence & Security community at an exhibition enhanced with conferences, business meetings, strategy consulting, etc. And we continuously develop all these exhibitor advantages and services to achieve our objectives. Eurosatory is thus a comprehensive event for the Defence and Security world, beyond its primary role as an equipment and systems exhibition. In fact, Eurosatory offers the broadest response to the various public and private needs in land Defence and Security.
For all these reasons, we look forward to seeing you from 16 to 20 June 2014 at the coming Eurosatory! www.eurosatory.com
