HABAŞ to Exhibit its Strength & Vision at IDEF 2025

HABAŞ will take its place at the 17th International Defense Industry Fair IDEF 2025 with its strategic solutions for the defense industry.

HABAŞ, which has a wide range of activities from industrial and medical gases to steel production, from heavy machinery to energy, from maritime transportation to automotive, will stand out with its activities in these fields at this year's fair.

A Giant Structure Integrated into the Defense Industry

With an annual production capacity of 4.5 million tons at its modern iron and steel facilities in Aliağa, Izmir, HABAŞ is one of the strategic steel suppliers providing infrastructure for Turkey's defense and industrial move. In addition, Yıldız Shipyard, which operates within the group, offers locally produced sheet metal and heavy constructions for both military and commercial ship projects with an annual new shipbuilding capacity of 100,000 DWT. HABAŞ, which also supplies liquid hydrogen to Reis Class Submarines, is a member of the European Industrial Gases Association (EIGA) in the field of industrial gases. With its daily liquid gas production of 5,500 tons, HABAŞ makes a difference by offering gas quality and supply security suitable for military technologies.

Investing in the Electric & Hybrid Future

In the automotive sector, HABAŞ is restructuring its production facility in Kocaeli Çayırova, which it took over from Japanese automotive giant Honda in 2021, for the production of electric and hybrid vehicles. The design of the domestic passenger car to be produced under the HABAŞ brand has been largely completed. In addition, production continues with electric and hydrogen engine options for heavy commercial vehicles such as buses, tow trucks and trucks.

With a Focus on Energy and Sustainability

Meeting 2% of Turkey's electricity demand since 2002, HABAŞ also continues to invest in a SPP with an installed capacity of 200 MWp in Polatlı, Ankara, to transition to green energy. The company, which prioritizes environmentally friendly technologies in both production and service infrastructure, will also introduce its solutions in this field at the fair.
