HAVELSAN is a Global Brand in Simulator Technologies
HAVELSAN is a center of excellence in simulation and training technologies and a leader in Europe. The simulation technologies for rotary wing and fixed wing platforms, constructive training products are either delivered or in development phase.
Training centers for different purposes are delivered for national and international Air, Land and Naval forces, such as Republic of Korea, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkmenistan.
HAVELSAN has exported the first advanced technology product of Turkey to the Republic of Korea, in 2002 which is the Level-D certified CN-235 Full Flight Simulator.
The Simulator Training Centers are just about to be completed for the T-38 and KT-1 Operational Flight Trainers. As part of the KT-1 Operational Training Aircraft Simulator Center Project (TESİM) Basic Training Aircraft Simulators and Flight/Maintenance Personnel Training Aids (Operational Flight Training Simulators, Instrument Flight Training Simulators, Avionic Recognition Devices, Computer Based Training Sets, Aircraft Systems Malfunction Trainer, Flight/Maintenance Team Aircraft Ejection Trainer, Debriefing stations and other training support systems) are provided to the Turkish Air Force Command. 2 Operational Flight Trainers (OFT), 2 Instrument Flight Trainers (IFT) and 2 Aircraft Training (ATD) Devices will be delivered as part of the project.
As part of the T-38 Operational Training Aircraft Simulator Center (ARISİM) project, the Turkish Air Force is provided with development, training and Integrated Logistical Services for the T-38 Advanced Training Aircraft Simulators and its Peripheral Systems. As part of the project, 2 OFTs, 2 IFTs and Debriefing Rooms will be set up at the Simulator Training Center.
The other comprehensive project is the Mission Training Centers for F-16 Block 50+ platforms. In the context of F-16SİM Project; simulators and supplementary training systems are developed for the F-16C Block 40/50/50+ with Simulation Training Centers being set up in six different cities. The centers will be interoperable and integrated. The full mission simulators of the F-16 platform have 360 degree of dome screen with 25 high resolution projectors. The cockpit has been designed with roll-in roll-out mechanism so that switching to different cockpit configurations will be available by using the existing visual system.
HELSIM is the turnkey training center solution of HAVELSAN for Turkish Navy and Turkish Land Forces Aviation Schools.
In the scope of the program for Turkish Navy, S-70B SeaHAWK helicopter Full Mission simulator, one Partial Flight and Mission/Sensor Operator Trainer Simulators, three Computer Based Training Classes and a Tactical Control Center are designed and delivered. The training center is utilized by the Turkish Navy since December, 2010 with 98% scheduled usages. Also, HAVELSAN exported the sonar operator trainer to Canada that was designed for this project.
In the scope of the program for Turkish Land Forces; two Full Mission simulators of S-70A, one Partial Flight Simulators, two Computer Based Training Classes and a Tactical Control Center are completed and they are in the acceptance phase. Within the project; HAVELSAN has also completed and running the factory tests of AS-532 Cougar Full Mission Simulator. Furthermore; Undersecretariat for Defense Industries, Ministry of National Defense awarded HAVELSAN with sole source contract for the T-129 ATAK Helicopter Simulator that will be placed in the same training center. All simulators design within this project has Level D certification from EAS.
Besides the flight simulators, HAVELSAN developed and delivered "Artillery Forward Observer Training Simulator" (AFOS). AFOS presents a cost efficient solution for the Artillery Forward Observer and Fire Direction Center of the Land Forces’ planned trainings. It can be used with the simulated Laser Range Finder (LRF) for firing data computation, fire organization and management; for developing the skill level of applications of firing techniques and observation and for developing coordination between Forward Observer and Fire Direction Center personnel. Realistic battle conditions are made possible with visual and sound effects. The system was designed for the Turkish Land Forces, and then it was exported to Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenistan. Besides the main product, a portable version has been designed as a computer based system that can train a group of 5 trainee Forward Observers and Fire Direction Center Personnel simultaneously. The Portable Artillery Forward Observer Simulator was launched in the ITEC Exhibition, 2012.
The simulation capability of HAVELSAN’ doesn’t only serve to the military requirements., HAVELSAN developed Forest Fire Training Simulator (OYMES) for the civilian purposes for the General Directorate of Forests. In the scope of the project; OYMES Software and 12 consoles for its installation, 1 CBTS, 1 Debriefing System, an image database covering the Antalya and İzmir cities and 3D models. an Aircraft User Console, a Helicopter User Console, a TIM Commander Console, a Bulldozer Manager Console, a Fire Marshall Console, a Front Line Officer Console, a Debriefing System and CBTS will be provided.
