Mr. Furkat Katmerci: “Hızır is an armored vehicle with high combat power”
Deputy Chairman of the Katmerciler Board of Executives Mr. Furkan Katmerci stated that they attached great importance to the MÜSİAD event in which products based on advanced technology will be exhibited, and added that they will be launching the armored personnel carrier vehicle they refer to “Hızır” at the event where they will be presenting their range of products regarding the defense and security sectors.
Underlining that following the armored personnel carrier Khan they developed previously, “Hızır” was developed in line with the operational requirements of the security forces, Mr. Katmerci pointed out “Hızır” will be standing out with more outstanding qualities compared to the existing armored personnel carriers adding that they will be sharing the details of the technical features of the vehicle at the event. Regarding the event Mr. Katmerci said, “We attach great importance to MÜSİAD Fair. In addition to our three different armored personnel carrier vehicles, we will be displaying a TOMA (Anti-Riot Vehicle) at the fair. We invite all representatives of the sector to the launch of our new vehicle “Hızır” which we will realize following the opening program of the fair. Besides the “Khan” which is the first product of our armored personnel carrier vehicle group and then “Hızır”, there will be another armored personnel carrier we will be launching and we will be announcing its name at the event. This vehicle we developed over Rubicon Jeep will be the first vehicle supported with composite ceramic armor in our country. The main characteristic of this technology which we define as the armor technology of the future is its ability to avoid increasing the weight of the vehicle while providing high level of ballistic protection. Therefore, due to its lightness compared to its equivalents, it will be a vehicle with both high maneuver capability and high level of comfort.”
Mr. Katmerci: “Powerful national defense industry for a strong national defense”
Deputy Chairman of the Board Mr. Katmerci pointed out that the region in which the country is located is a geography with chronic issues causing conflicts and battles and added that a powerful defense was essential for a country. Mr. Katmerci underlined that this could merely be achieved through creating a strong national defense industry and added that they regarded contributing to the strengthening of the country’s defense as an important part of their corporate vision.
Noting that they took part at the national and international defense sector with their powerful sectoral product portfolio, with notably the armored personnel carriers that they developed through the utilization of advanced technologies, Mr. Katmerci continued, “When designing these vehicles that we offered to the sector, we took the requirements and expectations of our National Police, collaborated with the experts of all relevant parties and developed powerful vehicles. During the production of such vehicles, we benefited from nanotechnology. We wish to present our vehicles efficiently at the MUSIAD Fair that constitutes an important branch of our national defense and in which advanced technologies will be competing. At the same time, we regard this fair as an extremely important organization during which we will be conducting executive level negotiations and researching various opportunities for cooperation.”
