Major Programmes of Microturbo
With more than 50 years’ experience, Microturbo has engineered a full range of power units (APUs) and starting systems based on proven technologies. Microturbo Auxiliary Power Units are compatible with all hosts, whatever the application: civil or military, air, land or sea. Microturbo’s different turbine families deliver electric, pneumatic or mechanical energy to match the specific needs of the different programs.
Microturbo supplies power systems and starting systems for most of the European military programs, notably for the Dassault Aviation Rafale, the Alenia Aermacchi M-346, and the BAE Systems Hawk, the Airbus Helicopters NH90 and EC725, the Airbus Military A400M TP400…
Always leading by innovation, Microturbo has recently developed a new power source concept specially designed to meet the highest requirements of «more-electric» and «all-electric» new-generation aircraft, helicopters and UAVs: the e-APU. Certified by EASA category 1 for essential use, the e-APU is fitted on the new AgustaWestland AW189 helicopter.
Microturbo is the European leader inturbojet engines with a thrust range of 25 to 700 daN for military applications: missiles, target drones and UAVs.

Activities of Turkey
Generally speaking, Microturbo’s main activities in Turkey are related to turbojet engines. Early in the 90’s, Microturbo started some contacts and exchanges with universities and research center and delivered few units of the TR18 turbojet engine, such engine being used mainly for research purpose. Today, TR18 engine is used to power target drones, such as the Mirach 100 from Selex ES. In 2007, Microturbo engaged a relationship with Tubitak Sage, and received a contract to deliver the TR40, 275 model turbojet engine. Such engine was integrated into the Stand Off Munition (SOM) developed by Sage and qualified on F4 and F16 fighter aircrafts. This development was a great success and Microturbo is proud of its contribution to this success.
