MİKES: Targeting Middle East with its High-end-Products

One of the leading firms of Turkish Defence Industry; MiKES has been specializing in Electronic Warfare Systems since 1989. Starting from its earlier establishment MiKES has successfully completed various programs like Turkish Air Force (TUAF) F-16 (Block 30-40) Aircraft Self Protection EW System (SPEWS) and TUAF F-4E 2020 Modernization Program of RWR Systems for the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and the Turkish Ministry of National Defence (TMND).

“Electronic Warfare Specialist of Turkey”; MiKES is targeting Middle East Market for its high end products. In compliance with this target, MiKES will take its place at the IDEX 2007. At the IDEX Show, visitors will have the chance to see the latest developments in the Electronic Warfare Self Protection Systems that MiKES has already achieved.

Samples of Major MiKES products:

MIDAS RWR

The MIDAS is a family of an advanced, internally mounted self-protection Electronic Warfare system specifically designed for high performance fighter aircraft, including the F-16, F-4E.

MIDAS Radar Warning Receiver (RWR), integrated with Counter Measures Dispenser System (CMDS) provides intelligent control of chaff/flare dispenser system for dynamically adapted enhanced countermeasures self protection response.

The MIDAS is flight-line programmable for mission adaptability. Program updates to the threat data library are achievable with the menu driven Preflight Message Generator (PFMG) by means of in country re-programmability feature.

The system design embodies extensive Built-In-Test (BIT) capabilities which provide fault isolation to the Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level. In-flight BIT verifies proper in flight operation and system capabilities in case of failure.

The adaptive design of the MIDAS enables it to be easily tailored for specific system and platform requirements on both tactical and strategic aircraft.

MIDAS Provides Complete Self- Protection For fighter platforms

• Radar threat warning (RWR)
• 3600 coverage in C-J band
• Awareness and avoidance capability against modern threats
- Hi sensitivity
- Precise frequency measurement
- RF agility for rapid response time
• Superheterodyne based wide instantaneous band digital receiver
• Coordinated expendable dispensing (chaff/flare)
• RWR and expendables management in a single integrated system
ß Special mode for recording radar signal intercepts for post-flight analysis
