MilSOFT will be providing Data Links Technology for the Turkish Navy

Within the scope of MilSOFT’s work package in GENESİS Data Link System – Modernization Program, MilSOFT signed a contract with Undersecretariat of Turkish Defence (SSM) on 29 August 2006 in order to provide the Turkish Naval Forces with Link 16 / Link 11 multi-link communication capability. Within the context of this contract, Link 16 / Link 11 multi-link communication capability, Multi Purpose Data Link Processing System (hardware/software) (MPDLPS) and related Tactical Data Link Console software for Naval Platforms (Perry Class Frigates), Surveillance Coordination Centers (SCC) and Land Based Test Systems (LBTS) will be developed by MilSOFT with minimal modification of the existing Command and Control System.

Modern Tactical Data Links provide exchange of information between tactical air, land, and sea-based platforms.

By combining information across the operational spectrum, the Common Operational Picture (COP) can be created for all participants who share the same scalable picture and can extract the information relevant to their tactical situation and level of command.

The power of shared information and knowledge helps commanders to make informed decisions consistent with modern maneuver warfare Through the data link capability to be provided by MilSOFT besides enabling Turkish Navy surface fleet to share tactical information with friendly Link16 or Link11 platforms/units such as ships, aircraft and land-based units it will also be possible to forward information from L16 units to L11 capable units and vice et versa.
