GÖRGÜÇ: “We will continue to export our National Products”
Serdar GÖRGÜÇ, General Manager of Otokar, which is the only national land systems manufacturer of Turkey, noted the following regarding the order: “We are proud that our armored vehicles - the intellectual property rights of which completely belong to Otokar – and are designed and manufactured by Turkish engineers are being preferred abroad as well. This new order was received from an Asian country where we previously conducted exports. Our user experienced our vehicles during the United Nations tasks and was satisfied with them. This was a new reference for new procurements. They preferred Otokar to fulfil their demands of tactical wheeled armored vehicles in various types.”
Stating that the Asia region was amongst their export markets in the defence industry, GÖRGÜÇ added: “We became Turkey’s global brand in land systems area in the defence industry. More than 30 thousand Otokar military vehicles are in the inventory of over 50 countries across the world. We are proud to contribute to our country’s success in the defence industry, to become a part of the development of our national industry and to come to the forefront with our know-how, engineering, R&D and technology transfer capabilities on a global scale in addition to our products in the defence industry.”
