SDT Space and Defense Technologies is an engineering company speacilized in some vertical expertise areas in Defense sector in Turkey. SDT was established in Feb 2005 and focused to develop unique and high technology engineering solutions to customer needs in defense sector.
SDT’s vision aims to :
- take a defined role & responsibility in sub-systems/software parts in defence programs, especially for the areas in which not much local technological base is established yet
- develop products, capabilities and technology in these areas
- market & sell products in these areas both in domestic and export market
SDT’s mission is to
- design & develop local products in space and defence technologies
- contribute to public and national security by developing national technologies
- generate employment to high caliber engineering force in Turkey in high tech areas towards unique solution developments
- provide satisfaction to all stakeholders (customers, partners, employees, suppliers)

SDT has her facilities in GOP having “Secret Level Facility Clearance Certificate” and Bilkent Cyberpark in Ankara, Turkey and SDT plans to open an engineering office in METU Technopark in Ankara very soon. SDT quality system is ISO 9001:2000 certified.
Currently, SDT has two software work packages, namely tactical environment simulator and 3D visual models, in HELSIM (Blackhawk and Seahawk Simulator) project. Moreover, SDT is expanding her engineering team to accommodate her new business in Syntetic Aperture Radar (SAR) R&D program signal processing, SAR modelling & digital SAR data recording work packages and airborne simulation software workpackage in another project.
By utilizing her own R &D investment, SDT has already developed a base avionics system targeting digital data and video recording system to be installed on airborne platfortms at the first place. SDT is currently improving the already developed prototype Digital Video/Data Recorder to be fitted to various platforms by her own resources and efforts are ongoing to provide such systems to some airborne platform programs in Turkey.
