STM Makes the Pakistan Navy Stronger

As Turkey's largest naval company, STM has delivered the Fleet Tanker PNS MOAWIN for the Pakistan Navy and successfully carries on Agosta 90B Submarine Modernization activities, as the main contractor.

Within the scope of design, construction and modernization activities, STM develops custom and flexible engineering solutions for the surface and submarine platforms of the Turkish Navy, which is a NATO member and one of the most active navies in the world, as well as for the navies of friendly and brother countries to perform more effective missions.

TCG ISTANBUL will be Commissioned in 2023

4 MILGEM Ada Class Corvettes are actively used by the Turkish Naval Forces, delivered by STM as the main subcontractor by assuming key roles within the scope of Turkey's first national corvette project. As the main contractor of TCG ISTANBUL, Turkey's first national frigate, STM continues its activities to deliver the ship in 2023. Having recently delivered the Test and Training Ship TCG UFUK (A-591) and the Logistics Support Ship TCG YZB GÜNGÖR DURMUŞ (A-574 to the Navy as the main contractor, STM also successfully finalized the modernization of 2 AY Class Submarines. STM currently continues its activities as the main contractor for the modernization of 4 Preveze Class Submarines. Undertaking critical tasks within the scope of the New Type Submarine Project, STM also successfully carries out the Turkish Type Assault Boat Project, the design of which is made by STM, as the main contractor.

With high quality and advanced technology engineering solutions, STM offers its systems which are effectively used by the Turkish navy to abroad. With its long-term service support and domestically developed weapon systems, STM makes a difference by bringing its products and capabilities into the use of the country's navies in a way that will not be adversely affected by the embargoes that countries may be exposed to. STM, which attaches importance to cost-effective, uninterrupted technical support and knowledge transfer in each project, establishes collaborations that will expand the defense capacity of countries. One of these important collaborations of STM is for naval platforms made with Pakistan.

PNS MOAWIN has been Serving the Pakistan Navy for 4 years

STM designed, built and delivered the Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker (PNFT) PNS MOAWIN, the largest military shipbuilding project of Turkey overseas, for the Pakistan Navy, in Karachi, in 2018. With a weight of 15,600 tons, a length of approximately 155 meters and a maximum speed of 20 knots, the PNFT has effectively been used by the Pakistan Navy since then.

First submarine Delivered under AGOSTA 90B

STM, assuming key roles in the submarine modernization and construction projects of the Turkish Navy, has been carrying out activities as the main contractor in the modernization of the French-made Agosta 90B Khalid Class Submarines owned by Pakistan since 2016. Delivering the first submarine as part of the Agosta 90B Modernization Project, STM continues the modernization work of the other two submarines in Pakistan. As the first engineering company in Turkey with the capability of building and modernizing submarines, STM became involved as a main contractor in a submarine modernization project for a foreign country for the first time in Turkey with this project.

STM Provides Logistic and Technical Support to Pakistan Navy 

STM signed a Logistics and Technical Support Contract (RRC: Rate Running Contract) in 2021 to provide all kinds of spare parts and materials needed by the Pakistan Navy, especially for the Navy Fleet Tanker PNS MOAWIN (A-39) and AGOSTA-90B Modernization submarines, which it delivered as the main contractor, as well as on-site maintenance and repair services, training etc.

Critical Task for STM in PAKISTAN MILGEM 

STM, earning the trust of the Pakistan Navy with these projects it has successfully executed, also takes part in the project regarding 4 Ada Class Corvettes to be built by Turkey for Pakistan, with its engineering capability for the supply and integration of the main propulsion system.

STM Also Opted by Ukraine 

STM also initiated the corvette building activities for the Ukrainian Navy in 2021 as part of the collaboration involving technology transfer
