STM Supports the Naval Power of Pakistan
Significant milestones have been reached in the Agosta 90B Submarine modernization activities, of which STM is the main contractor, Türkiye's largest military naval company, while the Pakistan Fleet Replenishment Tanker PNS MOAWIN, designed by STM for the Pakistan Navy, is effectively operating in high seas.
STM offers critical solutions in areas such as naval defense, tactical mini-UAV systems, and cyber security in Türkiye. Through cooperation and technology transfer, STM continues to share the experience it has gained for Türkiye's requirements to friendly and allied countries.
STM develops tailor-made, unique, and adaptable engineering solutions as part of its design, construction, and modernization activities for the surface and submarine platforms of the Turkish Navy, one of the most effective navies in the world, as well as for allied navies to enable them to perform their missions more successfully. One of the most significant collaborations of STM is on the military naval platforms carried out with Pakistan.
PNS MOAWIN has been at the Service of the Pakistan Navy for Almost 5 years
As the largest military shipbuilding project by tonnage Türkiye has conducted overseas, STM built the Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker (PNFT) PNS MOAWIN in Karachi and delivered it in 2018. Weighing 15,600 tons, with a length of approximately 155 meters, and a maximum speed of 20 knots, PNFT has effectively been serving the Pakistan Navy.
The modernization of the Second submarine of AGOSTA 90B is Almost Complete
STM, which also undertakes key roles in the Turkish Navy's submarine modernization and construction projects, has been the main contractor of the modernization of the French-built Agosta 90B Khalid Class Submarines owned by Pakistan since 2016. Having delivered the first submarine in the Agosta 90B Modernization project, STM has almost completed the second submarine’s modernization. The modernization of the third submarine continues in Pakistan.
Critical Role for STM in PAKISTAN MİLGEM
STM, which has earned the trust of the Pakistani Navy with these projects it has successfully accomplished, also takes role in the 4 Ada Class Corvette Project, which will be built by Türkiye for Pakistan, with its engineering capability for the supply and integration of the main propulsion system.
Strong Interest in STM500 in Pakistan
At the IDEAS 2022 Exhibition held in Karachi, Pakistan, on 15-18 November, the small-sized submarine STM500 was displayed by STM, which significantly contributes to Türkiye-Pakistan relations with the military naval projects it carries out in Pakistan and attracted great attention.
