SUASIS Underwater Systems & HAARI Hangzhou Applied Acoustics Research Institute Signed an Agreement
SUASIS, is a globally-oriented high-tech company. SUASIS has established its position on the leading edge of a wide range of underwater technologies for sensors, towed-arrays, vertical-arrays, signal processing and hardware development including connectors and cable assemblies, offering solutions and system development in the areas of Underwater Acoustics, IT, Embedded Real-Time Systems and Data Acquisition Systems.
For more than 6 years, SUASIS has been developing technologies and engineering solutions in Turkey, using over 45 years of experience of its founders, and providing systems for maritime markets both in Europe and in the USA.
With the support of the European Community's EUROSTARS program in cooperation with Microflown Technologies from the Netherlands, the new MEMS based underwater acoustic vector sensors (HYDROFLOWN) are being developed by SUASIS. During the workshop of the European Defence Agency's (EDA) on "State of the art Thin Line Array Technology Evaluation", HYDROFLOWN emerged as a new technology for low frequency directional sensing applications. SUASIS has being developing new applications like Passive Directional Receivers (PDR) and Thin-Line Arrays (TLA where HYDROFLOWNs are used as receiving sensors).
SUASIS Underwater Systems (Turkey) and HAARI, Hangzhou Applied Acoustics Research Institute (China) have signed an agreement on October 19th in Hangzhou, China and entered into a strategic and technological alliance to develop new products and market development cooperation to improve the competitiveness of their products.
HAARI is specialized in piezoelectric ceramics, hydrophones, transducers and underwater acoustic system research, manufacturing in an extensive testing facility in China.
Through this strategic and technological alliance, HAARI and SUASIS are committed to promote the international cooperation for the development of new products/systems and to introduce their products' competitiveness into international markets.
Products and services will be brought to market under the "SUASIS-HAARI Underwater Silk Road" brand name.
