TURAÇ, Since 1987 to 2023…
1987 was a year that the story begun with the foundation of TURAÇ as a retail store, but thanks to the customer focused business understanding, grew to a wholesaler in 1990s. In the early 2000s TURAÇ became one of the largest marketing companies in Turkey for hunting and fishing industry. But it wasn’t enough.
The most important milestone of the company which allows to break its shell, was to actuate the explosive manufacturing and processing factory, and the explosive depots with the capacity of 300 tons in 2009 at Çankırı City that only 80 km’s away from Ankara. The factory built up according to the NATO Facility Security Standards, has stationed on 440 decare land, and consists of 13 buildings including test center, and laboratories. The head Office and Shipping Center of TURAÇ are in Ankara, and the showrooms are in Ankara and Istanbul.
Turaç also has NATO Facility Security Clearance, TSE, CIP, ISO 9001:2008 certificates, SASAD, and NSSF membership. The registration of NSPA source archive process is nearing completion. With the power of the production facilities,TURAÇ begun to open up international customers by means of visiting trade shows as an exhibitor. Then, in 2013, a great dream has realized and TURAÇ had the license to produce metallic ammunition as a first private company. TURAÇ, in addition to production of high quality shot shells, blank cartridges, and traumatic cartridges with the names of registered trademarks Sterling, Kaiser and Victory Sport, has started to produce 9 mm parabellum pistol cartridges with the best quality, and the good pricing , then has became the supplier of Turkish Police in 2013 and 2014. TURAÇ now export its production to more 30 countries over the world.
It also will not be enough such a company that has customer satisfaction understanding, aims high, and works as it should be. TURAÇ gives the priority to R&D projects and investments, and follows new production technologies. TURAÇ not only improves itself, but also contributes the sub-industry. Nowadays, TURAÇ is carrying out the activities for producing more calibres from 6.35mm to 12.7 mm, and the 37mm, 38mm, and 40 mm tear grenades. TURAÇ is aiming to gets its deserved share from Turkish National Target US500 billion export market by 2023.
TURAÇ will continue taking its place in the future within elites.
