Turaç will Expand Production Range with its Well-Known Brand “Sterling”
In accordance with the main principle of Mr. Fatih Altunbaş, The President of Turaç, they have never given up their customer focused business understanding.
They have stepped forward without making any concessions on the general rules of commerce and building customer relationships, always putting them in their customers’ place.
According to this principle, from the beginning Turaç, founded in 1987 never stopped moving forward, and from a retail store turned into the largest marketing company in Turkey for the hunting and fishing industry.
The most important milestone of Turaç, which allowed to break its shell, was to actuate the explosive manufacturing and processing factory, and the explosive depots with the capacity of 300 tonnes in 2009 at Çankırı City, located only 80 km away from Ankara. The factorymeets NATO Facility Security Standards and is stationed on 440 decares of land,and consists of 13 buildings including a test centre, and laboratories. The head Office and Shipping Centreof Turaç are in Ankara, and the showrooms are in Ankara and in İstanbul.
Since 2013, Turaç – the first in Turkey-has produced 9x19 mm Jacketed Hollow Point pistol cartridges. Security forces use these special cartridges for special missions. The 9x19 mm Sterling Parabellum Full Metal Jacket pistol cartridges are also used by Turkish Security Forces with the great satisfaction since 2013. This is an honour and motivation for Turaç as a defence industry company. The usage of their products by the Turkish National Security and the Armed Forces makes thempower full in the international arena.
Turaç has NATO Facility Security Clearance and NATO Source File membership to supply NATO countries requirements. Turaç manages its products with the NATO Stock Number and lot numbering system. Currently the innovation project related networking and information systems is almost finished. In addition,Turaç is a member of NSSF and SASAD.
As an integral part of production, Turaç strictly followsand meets the requirements of the quality management system, and has Turkish Standards (TSE), CIP, ISO 9001:2008 certificates.
Turaç gives the priority to R&D projects and investments, and follows new production technologies. Turaç not only improves itself, but also contributes to the sub-industry. Turaç is carrying out the on-goingactivities for producing more calibres from 6.35mm to 12.7 mm, and the 37mm, 38mm, and 40 mm tear grenades.
With the power of production facilities, Turaç builds relationships withinternational customers by means of visiting trade shows as an exhibitor. Turkey, Germany, USA, Poland, Russia, Abu Dhabi, South Africa can be named as Turaç takes part in exhibitions. “We will continue taking our place in the future within elites” Mr. Fatih Altunbaş said.
In 2013, Turaç was the first private company to have the license to produce metallic ammunition. Turaç, in addition to production of high quality shot shells, blank cartridges, and traumatic cartridges with the names of registered trademarks Sterling, Kaiser, and Victory Sport, has started to produce 9 mm parabellum pistol cartridges with the best quality,and good pricing, theybecame the supplier of the Turkish Police in 2013 and 2014. Turaç now export its production to more than 30 countries over the world.
