Turkey Launches Eurasia Airshow

Farnborough International Limited (FIL) CEO Mr. Shaun Ormrod and Medyacity CEO Mr. Hakan Kurt signed the Letter of Intention on the cooperation for Turkey’s first aviation based event Eurasia Air show at the Farnborough International Air show and Trade Fair in London.
 With the Eurasia Air show, which will take place in Antalya on 25 – 28 April 2018, with the support of the Turkish government and under the auspices of the Medyacity and with the consultancy of FIL, the development of business volume valued at $10 billion in civilian, commercial and military aviation sectors through a focus on the Eurasian economic region.
Major actors of the aviation industry will attend the Eurasia Airshow which is planned to take place with the participation of worldwide trade specialists. Over one thousand international participants, over 20 thousand square meters of stand areas, exhibition of more than 80 aircrafts, participation of over 150 military and civil delegations and more than 20 thousand visitors for trade from over 100 countries are expected throughout the event. Since it will be the first aviation based event in Turkey, Antalya Airport was selected as it bears the size and infrastructure sufficient for the demonstration of the flight capabilities of military and civil aviation brands.
Ormrod: “Significant aviation investments were made in Turkey and Eurasia region”
Farnborough International Limited (FIL) CEO Mr. Shaun Ormrod took the floor prior to the signing ceremony and said, “Investments of major sizes in civil aviation and airport were made in the Eurasia region and particularly in Turkey. Eurasia Airshow will greatly contribute to the growth of the aviation industry within the region. We worked together in Antalya for a while in order to control its consistency with our project and believe that it will be a major opportunity both for the domestic sector and industry. We believe that this is an appropriate time for promoting such a show at Farnborough and we are here today to provide full support”.
Mr. Kurt: “Eurasia is a door opening to the market growing 10 percent every year” 
“Turkey and the countries within the reach of four-hour flight are currently managing 60 percent of the world economy. Eurasia Airshow will be paving the way for a market growing 10 percent every year. We aim to turn Turkey into an effective trade center for aviation in the region within the next ten years by combining Turkey’s historic accumulation stemming from an aviation past of 100 years with its vision. Presently over five civil aviation companies in Turkey, especially Turkish Airlines offer services over 200 destinations with their aircraft fleets growing every day. From this perspective, Turkey has a dynamic potential with both its historic know-how and visionary structure. I believe that with all its know-how and experience, the FIL team would contribute greatly to this show’s success and would also gain a strong momentum to Turkey’s aviation industry along this long path”, said Medyacity CEO Mr. Hakan Kurt.
