Türkiye`s First Indigenous Turbofan Aircraft Engine TF6000 Successfully Tested
Under the project initiated by the Secretariat of Defense Industries (SSB) and carried out under the responsibility of TEI, Türkiye’s first military turbofan engine, TF6000, has been successfully tested. Designed to acquire technology and demonstrate capabilities on the path to the engine of Türkiye's first fighter aircraft, KAAN, the TF6000 was engineered to have the characteristics of an advanced military turbofan engine.
Leading the way in sharing the progress of the project, President of Turkish Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk GÖRGÜN posted on his social media account: " Türkiye’s first indigenous Turbofan Engine TF6000 was successfully tested for the first time in the national engine test system. At the end of the test process, KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 will be powered by the TF6000. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in the project, especially our dedicated engineers and technical teams, for their hard work and commitment."
Alongside the TF6000/TF10000 engine projects, Türkiye aims to achieve critical technology, local subcontractors, and experienced human resources by also conducting the design, development, and manufacturing stages of related accessory subsystems, fan modules, variable stator vane compressor, mixed flow exhaust mixer, and afterburner design.
