Damage control is an essential capability to preserve the integrity, stability and manoeuvrability of vessels, by keeping the ship afloat, moving and fulfilling her mission. Damage, therefore, must be quickly confined and repaired. It has been shown that consistent and realistic training produces an Optimal level of readiness that enables repair teams to react more efficiently and effectively. To facilitate this, Meteksan’s state-of-the-art Damage Control Simulator enables the crew to develop and conduct realistic damage control exercises, while also simulating casualties as realistically as possible. The latest Simulator developed by Meteksan was successfully delivered to Royal Navy of Oman in April 2014.
Meteksan became the international brand name for Damage Control Simulators
In 2012, passing through  a high competitive process of international tendering and getting highest score in the technical evaluation, our company had begun the Damage Control Simulator Project by signing the contract in the same year. System was constructed in 2 years by Meteksan in a 2.000 square feet area as a turn-key Project to meet all needs of trainees and instructors. Damage Control Simulator is aimed to train the personnel with a duty in the sailing units both as individuals and also in teams. The basic aim is to develop and strengthen their skills and experiences, to evolve damage repair intervention methods in various situations, to increase their affinity in this area and to test the damage control materials that will be supplied for navies. Especially considering the cost of naval platforms and examples of accidents around the world each year, training of navy personnel to intervene quickly and accurately in such a situation is became one of the most important trainings of modern navies.
