Aselsan and TÜBİTAK Joining Forces

Aselsan and TÜBİTAK reached an agreement that will set an example to qualified domestic participation. A memorandum of understanding was signed on the utilization of the Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) nationally manufactured by TÜBİTAK at the Stabilized Advanced Remote Weapon Platform of Aselsan.

At the signing ceremony held as part of the IDEF 2015 International Defence Industry Fair, President of Information Technologies Institute Dr. Sezgin on behalf of TÜBİTAK BILGEM, and Vice Presidents İsmet Atalar and Mustafa Kaval on behalf of Aselsan signed the memorandum. Vice President of Aselsan İsmet Atalar expressed that, as Aselsan, they were signing for a Project for increasing the qualified domestic participation within thedefence industry.

Vice President of Aselsan Mustafa Kaval emphasized that they were proud to introduce a national system once again, nationally developed, task computers for air defence, fire control and stabilized weapon systems.

President of the Information Technologies Institute Dr. Mehmet Sezgin underlined the importance of manufacturing national systems for critical platforms in the struggle of gaining technological independence.
