Aselsan Signed Two Contracts in Poland
Aselsan, listed among the world’s top 100 major defence companies, drew great attention at the defence and security fair MSPO held in Poland.
Contracts were signed between Aselsan and two companies while a memorandum of understanding was awarded for the first time with Polish weapon manufacturer “ZM Tarnow”.
The aforementioned Memorandum was awarded by Aselsan’s Chairman of the Board Dr. Hasan Canpolat and ZM Tarnow’s Chairman Mr. Krzysztof Jagiello while Undersecretary for Defence Industries Prof. İsmail Demir and Chairman of the Board for PCO/Poland Company Mr. Ryszard Kardasz witnessed the ceremony.
Aselsan’s Thermal Binoculars for ZM Tarnow Rifles
Cooperation for production, development and marketing opportunities are planned for Aselsan’s and ZM Tarnow’s complementary aspects of stabilization, servomotor, electro-optical, target surveillance and fire control capabilities. ZM Tarnow conducts its production activities in accordance with the standards of the NATO and Russia.
As a demonstrator of the agreement, 12,7 millimeter “anti-material” sharp-shooter rifle integrated with Aselsan’s Pithon Thermal Rifle Binocular was displayed at the fair.
Cooperation with WCBKT
Aselsan decided to establish cooperation with “WCBKT” company that serves as a military design and technology center in Poland as well. Following the talks for land vehicle simulations and cryptology issues, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Aselsan’s Chairman of the Board Dr. Hasan Canpolat and WCBKT Chairman of the Board Mr.Artur Kolosowski.
