Cooperation Agreement Signed Between OSSA Cluster and Mexico FEMIA at Farnborough Air Show
On 17th July, a comprehensive cooperation agreement covering the technology transfer between the OSSA Cluster (OSTİM Defence and Aviation Cluster) and Mexico’s FEMIA was signed at the Farnborough Air Show.
With the good will agreement signed by the OSSA Chairman of the Board Mithat ERTUĞ and FEMIA President Luis Gerardo LIZCANO, the two parties will cooperate in line with Mexico’s demands in casting, machine manufacturing, sheet forming, titanium and nickel forging, special processes, heat treatment, coating, assembly, composite and raw material areas.
Evaluating the agreement aiming to enable the Mexican companies to benefit from the qualified services and products of the Turkish SMEs at the highest level, FEMIA President LIZCANO stated that the signing ceremony was merely a start and that they committed to make several collaborations in the future.
OSSA President Mithat ERTUĞ underlined that they gathered with the leading companies of Turkey and the world, that their activities continued successfully adding that they were ready for all types of cooperation.
With the memorandum of understanding signed between the OSSA and FEMIA, the South American industrialists will be attending the Industrial Cooperation Days in Defence and Aerospace which will be held in Ankara from the 23rd to the 25th of October 2018. Following this step, the SMEs will accomplish bilateral business negotiations and establish contacts in Mexico under the guidance of the OSSA.
Taking part among the Mexican aerospace industry’s major institutions, FEMIA has over 100 members including Airbus, Boeing, Thales and Honeywell.
