DELTA ELECTRONICS: Positive contribution to the Realization of Turkish Defence Systems
In the Coverage of modernization of AN/APG-68 (V) 7 Fire Control Radars into AN/APG-68 (V) 9 of Turkish Air Force (TuAF’s) F-16 Block 50 Aircrafts; Blok 40 under decision stage DELTA Elektronik Ticaret ve Sanayi Ltd. Sti played an important role in:
• Introducing radar to TuAF and inclusion in the modernization program
• Finalizing the contract negotiations between Northrop Grumman and TuAF
• As stated in Technical Assistance Agreement and Contract, played a bridge-function between TuAF and Northrop Grumman
• In parallel with the modernization decision, carrying out development activities for AN/APG-68 (V) 9 at the depot level repair/maintenance capabilities established under Havelsan responsibility.
In augmentation and development at strategic partnership relations between Aselsan and Rockwell Collins on Multi Functional Displays (MFD) which are commonly used in various defence projects such as Seahawk I, II, Meltem I and II , C-130 Erciyes program; DELTA Elektronik Ticaret ve Ltd. Sti contributed to:
• The production of MFD-268 E3, CDU-900 equipments at Aselsan premises
• The realization of the agreement between Rockwell Collins and Aselsan for co-production of new version MFD-268 C5 displays.
ERCIYES PROGRAM
The SSM has awarded Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) with a contract for the avionics and radar modernization of 6XC-130B and 7XC-130E Cules. Dubbed ”Erciyes” the project will be integrated with the new system onto the aircraft. Delta Electronics Trading and Industry Company Limited carried out; *Coordinating, promoting and planning activities of the Northrop Grumman product AV/APN-241 to furnish C-130 aircraft and finalize its contracting the program.
*Coordinating, promoting and planning activities of the Rockwell Collins Avionics product to equipped with C- 130 aircraft as a state of art.
SIMULATOR PROJECT
Delta always followed the Simulator Projects regarding Turkey’s acquisitions which will provide the most effective learning. saves from expensive fuel and consumption materials by decreasing the need for training in the real aircraft and remaining direct costs related to the maintenance of all type of aircraft resulting from slight hours.
Delta is assessing that SSM will give priority to acquire the simulator systems.
