Linera has been active in the defence sector and has completed several projects for many customers throughout Turkey and abroad. Our projects ranged from test systems development, PCB-design, FPGA-based design, IP-Core development, embedded software development, and application software development.

Notable national projects which include contributions from Linera are: SAR (Synthetic-Aperture Radar) technology development project, ANKA MALE UAV project, Erciyes C-130 modernization project, 3D surveillance radar project and HEWS (Helicopter Electronic Warfare Self Protection System).

In addition to supporting the defence industry with professional engineering services, Linera designs and develops its own product line to serve the defence and industrial markets.

Our current product line includes a family of FPGA-based modules and a family of Data-acquisition devices.

The FPGA module product family consists of 5 products. FMU3-S6 series FPGA modules are USB3.0-enabled, compact (65 x 50 mm) FPGA modules equipped with a Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA, 1Gbit DDR3 SDRAM, programmable clock generators and high density board-to-board connectors which can be used to integrate the module into your own system. These modules are sold with full software stack (drivers, example applications) which enables engineers to rapidly design their own products and solutions. These modules allow sustained transfers from and to the host system at a rate of 350 MB/sec.

FM-S6 modules are pin-compatible with the FMU3-S6 modules and they can be used in designs where high speed USB connectivity is not required. They are smaller (50 x 50 mm) but they pack all the functionality of the FMU3-S6 series.

FMU3G-S6 series modules are targeted for designers that need very high speed serial connectivity. Equipped with the ‘T’ series Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGAs, these modules allow up to 3.125 Gbps serial communication with a target. This enables the module to be used in systems that use high speed serial protocols, such as PCI-express and Aurora. Together with the on-board USB3.0 port, these modules allow development of applications where high-speed data connectivity is critical.

FMG-S6 series modules are pin-compatible with the FMU3G-S6 series and they can be used in applications where USB connectivity is not required. The module is 50 x 50mm in size, and supports 3.125 Gbps serial communications just like the FMU3G-S6 series.

FME-S6 series modules are Xilinx Spartan-6 based compact FPGA modules which enable Gigabit Ethernet connectivity in a very small form factor. These modules can be used as the central controller in any Ethernet based system.

Our data-acquisition hardware family is based on two different modular architectures. The first one, LiDAQ family, is a modular and configurable data acquisition system, with a backplane-module architecture. The system can be customized by populating the slots with different types of data acquisition or communication modules, thereby creating a system that is tailored to the needs of the target application.

The FMXDAQ family is a PCI-Express based modular data acquisition system. These are x1 PCI-express based boards with an FMC slot, powered by our FMU3G-S6 or FMG-S6 series modules. These boards can be used in test systems development, semiconductor evaluation and as data-acquisition devices in real-time target machines. Based on the needs of the project, we can custom-design FMC boards to fit the FMXDAQ and provide quick turnaround solutions for our customers.

We also develop and market IP-core modules based on customer specifications, especially in the signal processing, image processing and high-speed serial connectivity domains. A recent example is CoaXPress, which is an asymmetric point-to-point serial communication standard for transmission of video and still images over a single coaxial cable, achieving up to 6.25Gbps speeds.
