Turkish Technic to Provide Maintenance Support to A400M Aircrafts

The “Maintenance Support Agreement” was signed as part of IDEF’15 activities and in line with this agreement made between THY Teknik A.Ş. and Airbus Defence and Space, it is aimed to provide both second and third level maintenance support to A400M fleet and regional maintenance support to the fleets of Turkey and neighbouring countries.  
 With the help of this agreement, covering the potential second and third level planned maintenance requirements of the aircrafts under service depending on their number of sorties and terms of usage, unplanned maintenance/repair needs, additional technical and engineering support requirements through national solutions after the termination of the existing service support agreement are aimed.
 With the cooperation to be established within such framework, building an active logistical support for A400M aircrafts and enabling the maximum participation of domestic industry are planned. In this respect, studies on examining maintenance support capabilities and searching methods of creating joint solutions were conducted by Airbus Defence and Space and Turkish Technic in the previous term, and a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) was signed with Turkish Technic while many workshops were held. 
The very first A400M with the tail number “MSN9” delivered to the Air Forces Command on 16 April 2014 accomplished 275 hours of flight until now where the second aircraft with the tail number “MSN13” achieved flights of total 124 hours.
