Zed Otomotiv Upgrades its Positive Pressure and Military Air-Conditioning Units

ZED Otomotiv Limited Company General Manager Musa Zeytinci, indicating that they have been carrying out the manufacturing of all types of cooling and heating system, positive pressure units, pipe, hose and parts for the defence industry since 1998, stated that they have recently upgraded their positive pressure and military air-conditioning units.
Stating that their company was established in 1949 with the aim of marketing automotive products and spare parts, Musa Zeytinci went on to add that since 1993 their activities were to manufacture cooling and heating as well as ventilation products and by-products and that by 1998 they were active in the manufacturing of all types of cooling-heating systems, positive pressure units, pipe, hose and parts for the defence industry. Pointing out that excluding raw materials, the newly built 4,400 m2 plant in Tuzla, Istanbul undertook ally types of design, production, testing, assembly and after sale services in their own plant with their own technology, Zeytinci stated that the manufacture of their positive pressure units had been upgraded. With the new system they were able to use less energy and with less space they had obtained higher productivity. Zeytinci added, “In addition, by substantially reducing sound intensity values, we were able to improve comfort. By changing the compressors used in the air-conditioning system with the latest technology compressors, we were able to obtain a 65 percent reduction in the sound intensity level of the 110v, 220v and 380v electric compressors. At the same time by obtaining the distribution rights of the American QUE compressors in Turkey, we are now in a much stronger position not only in production and service but also in spare parts. We have been actively manufacturing for companies like Roketsan, Caterpillar, Ford, Temsa, Asmaş and Migros for years. Since last year we have conducted very intense activities in the export of defence industry products. We have targeted 2014 and beyond to receive the fruits of our efforts.”
